Byron Bishop - Executive Director of Workforce Works - offers employment, training and education to disadvantaged young adults in the hopes of changing their lives for the better

NEW ORLEANS, LA, February 6, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Byron Bishop, Director of Workforce Works, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in business administration.

As the Executive Director of Workforce, Dr. Bishop builds employment, training and education using green technology. A community activist at heart, Dr. Bishop works with disadvantaged communities allowing him to network and help individuals find gainful employment and stay off drugs and out of trouble. He takes pride in seeing the young men and women leading community service projects.

Earlier this year Dr. Bishop was honored with an invitation to the White House to receive a Champion for Change award (http://www.whitehouse.gov/champions/gulf-coast-recovery/byron-bishop), allowing him to join a conversation between U.S. Executive Administration officials and various community leaders from the gulf coast region. Dr. Bishop received a Ph.D. in business philosophy from Trinity College. He is currently working on a public administration degree with Upper Iowa. Workforce currently has many community partners including Habitat for Humanity, Home Depot, Make It Right Foundation, and Pontchartrain Park Community Development Corporation, to name a few. Byron Bishop is the Founder and Executive Director of Workforce Works, LLC and a Minister (Co-Founder) with the "Well Ministries ". The organizations are based in New Orleans, LA organized around the mission of creating affordable and accessible housing, character-development and life-enhancing values with a strong emphasis on serving those in need who may not have access or exposure to working with diverse groups, education and green construction trades.
