"After High School... What?" Summer Camps Help Students Find the Career of their Dreams
An expert career and life coach, Ms. Statham nurtures the interests of students to give them direction post-high school
SAN ANTONIO, TX, June 6, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Susie Statham, Career and Life Coach for the "After High School... What?" program, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in career coaching for high school students.
"Every person has been created with very particular talents and personality attributes. I believe that when we use those attributes in our career, we achieve greater levels of achievement, fulfillment, and success," says Ms. Statham, who has 18 years of experience as a corporate trainer. Her summer camp, "After High School... What?," offers teenagers the opportunity to unmask their talents, realize their passions and discover the right career path. The goal is to nurture interests through programs, seminars and workshops. Focused on middle and high school students, Ms. Statham believes it is never too soon to start formulating goals to work toward.
On June 23, 2011, the camp will begin the first of four three-day sessions to take place in summer 2011 (other sessions to begin on June 30, July 21 and July 28). Students will be coached by Ms. Statham, along with her team of professionals, who have dedicated their careers to being an instrument of change for the next generation. By asking the question, "What is your greatest fear about graduating from high school and not having a clear plan for your future?" Ms. Statham encourages students to address their insecurities and realize that they are not alone. Together, they can hinder the fear and discover a career direction that is individually their own. Sponsored by one of the largest school districts in San Antonio, the summer program will also provide free conferences for students who are ready to pursue their goals.
Ms. Statham's expertise in the field of career coaching derives from her own experiences. A certified facilitator by the 48 Days to the Work You Love program, she earned a leadership certificate in 2009 and a Wise Counsel certificate for professional counseling in 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Science, which she earned in Mexico City in 1994, and has continued her training through The Experts Academy in 2011. Currently, Ms. Statham is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Psychology to be able to further contribute to her students' success.
