Byron Bishop, Ph.D., Honored for Excellence in Youth Development
Dr. Byron Bishop Helps Create Temporary Jobs to Keep Teenagers Out of Trouble


ARABI, LA, July 3, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Byron Bishop, Program Manager for City of Hope Youth Development Corps, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of youth development.

Dr. Bishop brings 25 years of professional experience to City of Hope, a non-profit humanitarian organization that specializes in youth development, personal and professional life coaching, educational gap support, individual training, and disaster relief employment. An expert in business administration, he is responsible for managing all operations, including the administration of National Emergency Grants to create temporary jobs to help disaster victims get back on their feet. Dr. Bishop, who continues to reside in a disadvantaged community, places emphasis on working closely with troubled young people and helping them find gainful employment so that they can stay out of trouble. He feels deep personal fulfillment in seeing young corps members take on leadership roles in their communities. He attributes his success to working hard and surrounding himself with the most passionate people that he can find.

An alumnus of Trinity College, Dr. Bishop earned a Ph.D. in Business Philosophy, an MBA, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He looks forward to building more humanitarian programs and increasing his work with youth development organizations.
